Darius & Brad!

Ok So this is my BRAG BRAG BRAG POST.... I am just to excited to hold it in!

So last night I had the absolute chance of a lifetime!! My friend Katie has been a huge Hootie and the blow fish fan for years and always tries to see Darius Rucker! Now that he is the opener for Brad Paisley Katie had to get tickets!! It just turns out that Katie can always get the best tickets EVER and she was sooooo nice to invite me and our friend Joey! Let me just say it was amazing!!! We had backstage passes, amazing seats, and then recieved ALL ACCESS VIP PASSES!! I didn't even know those existed!!! So we stood right in front of the stage the whole night! It was incredible!!!! Such a great concert and they were both amazing live!!

Well Hello Brad!!!

This week has just been crazy for me! Actually the last two weeks for that matter! I will save that for another post, but I have been non stop this week and tomorrow is one of our best friends wedding Ashley!! I can't wait and am so excited to see how beautiful she looks!

Oh yeah Ty comes home in 2 weeks!! AHHHH! Can hardly wait to see my Fiance!!!

Will you be my Bridesmaid?

So as you may or may not know I am addicted to sweets, of course cupcakes, cookies, cakes, candy, etc!! You name it I love it! So when I was thinking about how I was going to ask my beautiful bridesmaids to be in my wedding I really wanted it to be something very personal to me....So I decided I would use Cookies :)

I had Cookie By Design create these adorable little cookies for me and I mailed them to my girls out of town and delivered them to a couple of the locals :)

All together I will be joined on the big day by count them 9 BRIDESMAIDS!! I have the most amazing best friends and I couldn't imagine not having these girls up there with me. All 9 of them are drop dead gorgeous might I add! They are beautiful on the inside and out. They each are very important to me and have had a huge impact on my life and on Tyler's and my relationship.

A Monumental Day...

Today was an unbelievable day. It was the end of a chapter in my life and the start of a new beginning. Today was my last day with my company, Pearson. I have worked for them since I graduated from Florida State and it was such an amazing two and a half years. I remember when I was graduating college searching for jobs I found this company and position and I wanted the job so bad!! I interviewed for 2 WHOLE MONTHS! It was absolutely crazy but since they DO NOT hire right out of college they needed to make sure I wasn't going to bail on them. I didn't and was hired on July 31st of 2008. This job has taken a lot out of me in the last two years but has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I feel like a completely different person after leaving this company. I did leave for many reasons, the main reason was a personal decision. Pearson did treat me very nicely even though I worked about 60 hours a week most weeks :)

It was a very tough decision but something I really thought about for a long time and made the final call two weeks ago to move on from Pearson. I am so proud of the amount of growth I have gone through and am looking forward to this next year and a half. I will be working a couple part time jobs, live in Grenada, marry the love of my life, MOVE to Grenada for 5 months and then move to NYC in 2012! WOW, that is a lot!

So tonight I am saying Good Bye to a very exciting and important chapter in my life. So many great memories that I will remember for a LONG time!!

On another note, my post from today regarding my grandmothers wedding outfit was a SUCCESS!! It is a complete secret but my Mammaw found her wedding attire!! We had a great time :)

Finally on a sad note, I received a call that I have been dreading for the last few years. My Dad's mother has been sick for a few years and has been really fighting every year to stay healthy. She was admitted to the hospital this week and unfortunately took a turn for the worst today. My dad is on his way to say his good byes and it is quite heart wrenching. Its such a tough feeling, you don't want someone to suffer any longer than they have already but you don't want to loose them. Please keep my Aunt, Dad, and adorable grandpa in your thoughts tonight and this weekend.

This weekend I have a bachelorette party and then next week we are traveling to Columbus, Ohio to watch Tanner play volleyball!!! Yah tanner!!

The New Citrus?

So today is the day!!!

Back when my sister was getting married my mom and grandma went out to find a dress for my grandma to wear to the wedding and it was a "citrus" Color St. Johns suit! Do not call it Orange or my Mammaw will correct you! My mom had strick orders from my grandma to hide her suit from all of us. My mom had to hide it at the neighbors house just incase :) We had NO idea what she was wearing and would not give us ANY hints as to what it looked like or how it fit. It was 6 months of constant talk about the new dress/suit but we had no idea what style or color it was! The day of the wedding was a HUGE day for my Grandma, we were all anxiously waiting for my Grandma to walk down the stairs in her new St. John's suit. The moment was here, she had her make up and hair done and turning the corner was my grandma in a Citrus colored suit! I couldn't believe it, she looked stunning!!I swear my grandma has gotten younger every year!!! She was incredible.. Well Fast forward a year and a half later and its now time to go shopping for her wedding outfit for my wedding! This time Brittany and I are invited and we can't wait to see what she tries on! She did mention to me that it CAN NOT be Citrus, it has to be a NEW color.

Unfortunately you all won't know the outcome until December 17th, but it will be a big reveal again this year I can promise you that!

This Feeling...

I have been getting a lot of questions regarding my wedding decor recently and even though I know exactly what I want I am suddenly lost for words. I think its because I have this picture in my head and want to describe it but the pictures are so much prettier in my mind!!! So thought I would share some pictures of the feeling I want when I walk into my wedding reception! Not so much the decor but mostly the lighting/feeling! Lighting to me is a must as it just makes the whole room feel cozy! I can't wait!
